And so my day is made. Kraftwerk have confirmed details of a “3D album” which will include their live tour performances at venues including New York’s MoMA, the Düsseldorf Kunstsammlung, London’s Tate Modern, the Sydney Opera House and the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
The legendary electro pioneers whose videos redefined German modernism, will translate their industrial art-focused visuals into a surround sound-style Blu-Ray to be released later this Winter.
And in the meantime, if you can't catch them on tour, you can still see an exhibition exploring the aesthetics of the German techno quartet, which is open until November 8, 2015 at Sweden's Röhsska Museum. The display traces the band's inspirations from fashion and film through to photography and graphic design from the early 20th century onwards.
