Bringing music and cinema together, Goldfrapp have announced a worldwide screening of their short film "Tales Of Us", which will be followed by an exclusive live performance, also transmitted in cinemas, from the legendary Air Studios in London.
Inspired by the band's latest album of the same title, the 30-minute film explores the stories of Stranger, Laurel, Jo, Drew and Annabel, all featured on the album, subtly interconnecting through the themes of love, loss, madness and identity. The film was co-created by frontwoman Alison Goldfrapp and director & writer Lisa Gunning, and the live event will be staged with the help of creative visionary and critically acclaimed set designer Shona Heath (Dior, Valentino, Prada), who also created the iconic owl which graced Goldfrapp’s "Seventh Tree" album artwork.
Speaking about the event, Alison Goldfrapp said, “We’re very excited to present a unique event, the Tales Of Us film alongside an intimate live performance, to our fans across the world. We’ve loved touring the Tales Of Us album and can’t wait to bring our live show to local cinemas”.
The event will be broadcast by Arts Alliance Media across the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand on 4 March 2014.
