If you fancy a rewind back to the 90s and the all-harmonising slow jams of R'n'B all-girl outfits like All Saints, En Vogue and TLC, then check out new London-based group M.O.
Inspired by Lisa 'Left-Eye', T-Boz and Chilli, along with other bands and artists including Destinys Child, Aaliyah and Lauryn Hill, the trio fuse old skool 90′s soul with hip hop beats and slick vocals.
It's not just the era's sounds they admire either, that TLC-esque styling up of oversize everything, boxer shorts under baggy slouchy denim, men's bomber jackets, plaid shirts tied around the waist and heavy work boots, has also inspired M.O's core fashion aesthetic.
Taking their name from the lyrics in a Drake track, M.O stands for “Modus Operandi” and I'm guessing this trio's 'mo' is to bring the 90s right back'atcha! As long as that doesn't include saggy-bottomed MC Hammer pants or Paula Abdul and MC Skat Kat, I'm all for it.
Check out the official video for their new track 'On Ya' below, produced by Slackah The Beatchild.
