Paying homage to transsexuality, transvestism, androgyny, and basically playing dress-up and smearing your face in bucket loads of make-up, the two-part cover series for the seventh issue presents Marilyn Manson - no stranger to the gender-bending aesthetic - channelling Courtney Love looking a bit fed-up in a grunge-inspired dress and boots.
Hands up those of you who find the image of Manson a little unconventional and strange?
Exactly. None of you. A man in a dress is a man in a dress. 10 out of 10 to Candy Magazine for its devotion to transversal style and celebrating the diversity of lifestyle choices.
The other cover features someone called Lady Gaga in drag, with Pierrot 'sad clown' makeup, a Dali'esque tash and her lady garden out for all to see (no Brazilian removals for her then). She's also rocking a scorpion for a nipple, which is nice.
