Selena Gomez for i-D Magazine September - 'The Street Issue'

I'm imagining the crazed Beliebers have probably already started sending death threats to
i-D magazine for putting Selena Gomez on the front cover of their September issue.
Lensed by Scott Trindle and shot in London with styling by Elgar Johnson, Gomez is stripped of all the usual face painting for 'The Street Issue', in which she ditches Disney pretty and goes all 'This Is England' on us, clad in a John Varvatos coat, Marni tee and jeans by Denham.

Having watched her "Come and Get It video which is all kinds of what would happen if a heavily accessorised belly-dancer got stuck in a field with a bunch of Bollywood dancers, (even the beautiful brass necklaces and hand chains couldn't distract me from how bad it is) - I just don't feel Gomez as an ambassador of the whole street-tough vibe, even with her two androgynous minders (mods Asia and Amy, wearing sweaters by Vuitton and Levi's).

But hey, at least she didn't do a Miley for V magazine, and lose all her clothes.
