Art x Fashion: Patouf AW13

Exploring gender definition is the signature behind the AW13 collection from Swedish label Patouf, with designer and founder Anna Angseryd adding unisex pieces into a line which pushes the boundaries and challenges traditional conventions of dresscode.

With an eclectic mix of contrasting shapes, from fluid soft silhouettes to experimental structuring, the collection includes dresses, removable pleated skirts and incorporating menswear for a second season - widelegged trousers, shirts and reversible oversize jackets which blur identifiable masculine/feminine elements.
With ink-stained prints inspired by the works of linear artist Jackson Pollock, Angseryd interprets his non-conventional approach to traditional composition as her aesthetic, with a fashion canvas heavy on texture and multiple layers.
Copper metallic boots accessorise the collection, stepping outside of trend-led ideas and adding an unexpected twist to footwear.
