Eva & The Heartmaker - "Joanna"

Looooooooooving this tune right now!!

"Joanna" is the latest offering from Norwegian duo, Eva & The Heartmaker, which is the second single to be taken from their "Traces Of You" album.
Scandidpop just keeps on getting better, and this track fuses 80s elements like The Bangles pop-rocky "Manic Monday" with more contemporary rock-folk-pop-electro sounds such as Bat for Lashes' "Daniel" and HAIM's "Save Me", both of which I also happen to love.

Eva & The Heartmaker are Eva Weel Skram and her husband Thomas Stenersen who have been on the European music scene 2005, and something tells me they're here to stay.
Although their signature stripped back video aesthetic could do with a little injection of darker, more edgy storytelling - "Joanna" features a swirling child, sheer tie-dye curtains and a marble?! - I don't see how that all visually fits with the song's lyrics.
I would've included a rocker girl on a motorbike wearing Norwegian fashion label Antidenim myself, but hey, tie-dye is a print trend for SS13 I guess.
