Marc Jacobs x Diet Coke: It's 11.30....

Diet Coke celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, the drinks brand has teamed up with designer Marc Jacobs as its new Creative Director.

Jacobs replaces Jean Paul Gaultier who was bestowed the honour in 2012 and introduced a limited-edition run of can and bottle designs, along with a series of viral fashion films.
Jacobs' contribution will see him pay homage to the brand's three decades, capturing the rise of female empowerment through the 80s, 90s and Noughties - all with his signature outlandish and cheeky twist.

In a new ad to promote the latest collaboration, Jacobs stars in a photo booth parody of the iconic Diet Coke break 'hunk' ad of the 90s, which means he wasn't allowed to wear his Malory Towers gatecrashed a drag queen's dinner party look (remember THIS). Instead he gets his kit off, flashes his tats and looks (and sounds) like he's two injections away from too many roids.

From next month, Diet Coke will release a limited collection of bottles designed by Jacobs - expect some signature MJ motifs to pop up.
