City Voyeur: Tahiti Boy And The Palmtree Family

One of my favourite Parisian acts, Tahiti Boy And The Palmtree Family are back, with their first release since 2008 entitled “The Park”.

Taken from the “Fireman EP”, the track is an emotive fusion of synths, drum rolls and reverb guitar - and the accompanying video, co-directed by French filmmaker Arnaud Delord and photographer Vincent FerranĂ©, takes us on a voyeurs journey as we're shown a series of windows inviting us into the private lives of imagined city dwellers.

The video actually reminds me of that walk you do along the High Line park towards The Standard Hotel in Manhattan's MeatPacking district, whose windows have become synonymous with offering a "peepshow" into people's private lives... for those of you who have walked that walk, let's all give one another a *knowing wink*. For those of you who don't have a clue what I'm talking about, google it!
