Oprah by Terry Richardson

I can't say I've ever bought into the whole Oprah phenomemon because it's all just a little too "American" for me - even though I'm half yankee doodle myself - but hey, not all of us feel the need to whoop and clap every time the Queen of Daytime gives some poor sobbing family a life makeover (aka, ripping out their TV dinner-filled cupboard and replacing it with a yoga studio and nail salon). Or indeed, when she loses another stone.

Anyhow, Oprah's caught my eye this month because she's posed for provocative photographer Terry Richardson, for the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

Images released from the shoot show the presenter/actress wearing a white suit by Escada and a bright red Jil Sander coat - all styled with the usual high contrast edge and white background. She even adopts the trademark Terry 'thumbs up' pose, but unlike most of his signature scantily-clad studio shoots, no clothes were removed for this one (phew).
