So if you were in Paris last night, you were all invited to the Mugler show thanks to Nicola Formichetti's tweet: "Not supposed to do this but fuck it. if you want to see the show tonight, just come and we’ll figure it out."

Hmm... yes, I wonder how many Gaga-obsessed, Mugler-ites actually made it through the doors of Cite de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine?! Gaga didn't make her usual appearance on the catwalk, but she did gift Formichetti a new, unreleased single for the show's soundtrack. “Cake" will be released next Thursday, along with a video of the full Mugler collection. Talking about music x fashion collaborations, sitting on the frow was Azealia Banks - styled many times by Formichetti - who provided the closing track for the show, "Esta Noche".

Formichetti's inspiration for SS13 went “from the humid buzz of Mexico City to the jungles of South East Asia" according to the press release, and the “artisanal savoir faire of the Far East". Created by the Vogue Hommes Japan fashion director and Sebastian Peigne, the look was sexy and sculptural and also debuted Formichetti's first handbag line for the brand, inspired by Gaga's derriere. The 30-piece collection, described by the designer as his "easy and cool sports line" includes day bags, clutches and sports totes.
