Ari Seth Cohen's 'Advanced Style' Film Needs YOU!

So you've all heard of the fantastic Advanced Style blog from Ari Seth Cohen by now - the street-style blog entirely dedicated to NYC's stylish older folk, celebrating their passion for fashion and challenging society's attitudes to growing old and fading into the fashion background.
The blog has spurned a stylish tome which launches here in the UK on 7th June at Mary Portas' store in House of Fraser, Oxford Street, where Cohen himself will also be signing copies from 2pm. I've written about the blog many times here on this site, and to read my exclusive preview of the book for the UK's Metro Newspaper back in April, head HERE.

Along with the book, Cohen and his filmmaker friend Lina Plioplyte are also planning to release a film about the ladies of Advanced Style, including colourful characters such as Ilona Royce Smithkin, Iris Apfel and artist/writer Beatrix Ost, the elegant 72-year-old with a shock of blue hair, whom the Olsen twins have dubbed as the "official muse" for their brand, The Row.
The documentary - a culmination of three years of filming - is now in the post-production stages, and Cohen and Plioplyte need your help to finish it!
Using Kickstarter, a site which showcases creative projects so they can attract funding, Cohen and Plioplyte are seeking $35,000 to cover editing, sound and colour mastering, music licensing, festival entries and distribution - and they are currently at $19,774.
With 18 days to go, let's help them make that last few (thousand) dollars, because everyone needs to see these senior starlets on the big screen!
To make a donation to the project, head HERE, and then watch a teaser for the documentary below:
