USED issue 3, the
bi-annual publication which explores the fusion of fashion and art, is out now, and with it comes a brand new website which allows viewers to virtually flick through the magazine online.

Issue 3 features two covers, including a Limited Edition version featuring Marilyn Monroe - or rather, Marilyn lookalike Suzie Kennedy lensed by Nik Hartley.
The theme of this edition is 'Reality' - inviting photographers, artists, and stylists to each present their own take on what the ever-changing concept means to them.
Writer Dean Kissick analyses pseudo-reality television - the mash-up of real and virtual worlds we've all become obsessed with - arguing that the re-imagining of real characters in fictional situations could potentially be a way to popularise political journalism in the future - changing the way we consume news media. Made in Chelsea actress, Amber Atherton, appears in a shoot lensed by Damien Fry alongside Kissick's article, wearing SS12 pieces by Marni, Jil Sander and Christopher Kane.
Controversial artist Rona Yefman - who makes empathic portraits of unconventional individuals such as her transgender brother and an elderly Tel Aviv man with a female alterego - also features in the magazine, championing the need for individuals to escape the norms society places on us, and celebrate our 'other self'.

The result is a visual exploration by USED's contributors of how contemporary artists and creatives have been impacted by, and have interpreted, the real and faux world. Also how their work has moved towards a shared collective understanding - or away, to form a more individual perspective.

USED (the brainchild of the creative agency Useful), is available to buy now priced £6. For more info, head HERE.
I'm looking forward to the launch 'do' - I seem to recall channelling Stevie Nicks and singing VERY loudly to Fleetwood Mac at the Issue 2 party....I blame the complimentary drinks (obviously).
