Helmut Newton Retrospective x Le Grand Palais

Just in case you needed persuading to visit the Helmut Newton retrospective in Paris (as if?!), here is a little visual reminder of what you can expect to see at Le Grand Palais.

Curated by his wife, June Newton, it's a visual journey through over 200 photographs selected from his archive of iconic images, from fashion to nudes and portraits - each picture tracing his dedication to bringing eroticism and sensuality to life via his camera.
The display also includes a behind-the-scenes video made by Newton's wife during various shoots, where he discusses his techniques - processes which were stripped back and low-tech in comparison with the assistant-filled photo shoots of today, where hundreds of different shots are taken for just one editorial.
This is an opportunity to see his work up close and personal, to experience his eye for shocking with sexually provocative portraits of the beautiful and the notorious - an avant-garde edge which made him a true visionary.
The exhibition is open now until June 17th. For more info, head HERE.
