Jean Paul Gaultier x Out Magazine x Eurovision 2012

From his early days as Pierre Cardin's assistant, to later designing the costumes for Pedro Almodovar's Kika and Peter Greenaway's The Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her Lover; not to mention
a stint at Hermès from 2003 to 2010 and creating the pointiest bra in the world ever for a certain person called Madonna - l'enfant terrible of fashion, Jean Paul Gaultier appears on the cover of Out magazine's new design issue.

The Frenchman, who presented his first ever womenswear collection in 1976, is of the most renowned avant-garde designers in the world, creating now-iconic pieces such as the corset-dress (1981), and skirts for men (1985).
In this issue of Out magazine, he discusses the archives of his journey through style, his fashion diet and how he plans to "stay in my bed...crying", when he celebrates his 60th birthday next month (I know. 60?! I couldn't believe it either).

Aside from his recent collaboration with Coca-Cola Europe as Creative Director on the brand's new video campaign, Gaultier also cameos in the music vid for France's 2012 Eurovision entry 'Echo (You And I)' by Anggun (who is kinda hot). Think, Gaultier X a naval-inspired frock coat X Anggun prancing around in not many clothes until she remembers the frock coat X a pig (the oink oink variety) X lots of guys who are all a bit cheekbones n' jawlines - et voilà, you've got the perfect Eurovision entry....a video that makes no sense at all and a song that instantly makes you place your hands over your ears.
