Fashion on Film: @Selfridges x The Film Project

So last night the whole of the fashion industry in London (it seemed) rocked up at The Old Hotel Selfridges, for the official launch of The Film Project - a bespoke short film collection created as part of the opening of the new Women's Designer Galleries.

The films showcase some of the key design talent in international fashion, commissioned "to freely express their vision of a woman who they found captivating and inspiring. The project is not about clothes, it’s about character".
 (Alannah Weston, Creative Director, Selfridges).
The fashion x film collaborations which interpret the "essence of today’s modern woman: sophisticated, intelligent, confident, stylish, strong and feminine”, include Alexander McQueen by Dustin Lynn, Comme des Garçons by Madeleine Malraux, A.F. Vandervorst by Stef Viane, Ann Demeulemeester by Michael C. Pitt, Rick Owens by Ruth Hogben, Dries Van Noten by Christopher Doyle and my personal fav - avant-garde designer Gareth Pugh channelling Liza Minnelli in "Cabaret", shot by Ruth Hogben.

Award-winning set designer Simon Costin has created a one-off installation for The Film Project screenings, which run from today at The Old Selfridges Hotel (March 15) until March 25 - Monday through Saturday from 12pm to 8pm and Sunday 12pm to 6pm. Y
