More Than Meets The Eye: Tom Hines

If you mix 1970s B-movies, nature, death, pop culture and your weirdest dreams - with a fusion of cinematic Hitchcock inspired imagery, up pops lensman Tom Hines.
Like a mood-board of a quirky subconscious mind, his work is like a mystic, sensual trip into an era gone by, with an element of stumbling across things you shouldn't see and things you don't understand.
Born in the deep south where Mississippi Mud Pie comes from (the clue's in the name), Hines is now based in NYC and has previously shot campaigns for the likes of Urban Outfitters, Bodkin and Proenza Schouler.

"You have to know what you want to feel in life, in a very abstract sense, before you make any tactical decisions in support of that horizon. Is there a rhythm in your life that feels optimal? If you know what that is, if you’ve felt it, that’s probably what you want to follow. Then all you have to do is plug into various disciplines and see if anything matches your spirit."
