Karl By Karl - Only 24 hours Until Net-A-Porter's Site Crashes


MDNA (that's Madonna to you and I) is just going to LOVE Karl Lagerfeld's new 'KARL' line for Net-A-Porter.
Why? 
Well, you just know how much she likes to hide her age spots in fingerless gloves, and Karl's new range is full of 'em!

The 70-piece line is largely set on a monochrome colour palette with the odd pop of metallic and sparkly sequin detailing; and features a pick 'n' mix of accessories and separates including perforated leather vests, vinyl boxer-style shorts, a sleeveless pink biker jacket and detachable collars. Karl’s silhouette is also incorporated into the collection via a small hound’s tooth-like print on tanks, jeans and totes. I'm slightly hyperventilating over the pleated leather mini-skirt and cutesy grey marl sweatshirt with glossy black PVC sleeves!! (pic above).

The range launches on Net-A-Porter tomorrow afternoon (at 3.30pm), with prices ranging between £20 to £900, and 
will also include pop-up 'window' shops in London, Paris, New York and Berlin. The shops will showcase Net-A-Porter's edit of the collection displayed on vinyl graphics, and the "Karl-Kult" will then be able to shop and scan products via the Net-A-Porter Karl App, to win an all-expenses paid trip to explore the Kaiser's favorite Parisian hotspots. Limited edition KARL goodie bags and T-shirts will also be given to the first 50 visitors to the shops, containing accessories from the collection.
The designer will also pop-up in person on the Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris to open the mysterious cube which appeared there last Friday (20th), unveiling exclusive video footage, pieces from the collection and to announce the winners of the “Karlified” App and ‘Find Karl’ Maze Game.

So basically, Karl is taking over the world.
