ASOS SS12: On Your Marks, Get Set, Go!

Asos have released their Neo Sport collection, which channels the hottest trend for SS12 - sportif chic and neoprene - already championed by designers such as Stella McCartney, Alexander Wang, Michael Kors, Versus, Rick Owens and Richard Nicholl; and on the high street by retailers like River Island and Zara. The collection mixes fluoro's and flashes of 2012's 'colour of the year' (Tango Tangerine of course), with body-con elements and neoprene and airtex fabrics across designs such as an electric blue playsuit with sheer metallic shoulders (pic above), zip-pocket tanks, tees, skirts, stretch-cotton drill pants and drawstring pocket jackets - all with an 80s/90s sporty-luxe feel.
Detailing across the performance wear includes black jersey panels, neon piping on curved hemlines and oversized, wide-toothed plastic zips - all reminiscent of scuba chic reworked with a modern, laid back, wearable vibe.
Accessories and shoes in the range include urban style track-side grab-bags, rubber watches, shiny hi-tops, perspex heels and a platform 'trainer' shoe fusing comfort with style and innovation.

Neo Sport launches in March via Asos.com so there's just enough time to re-start that January diet (put down those Giant Cadbury's buttons NOW), and book yourself in for a spray tan session too - fluoro pink and pasty white skin are most definitely not a match made in heaven.
