A$AP Rocky and Jeremy Scott x Complex Magazine

Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky, who made the chillax choon of last year - Peso (with lots of naughty words in it) - covers the Feb/March issue of Complex magazine, alongside designer Jeremy Scott, in a parody of the classic poster featuring Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, made for their art show at the Shafrazi Gallery, NYC in 1985.
The magazine’s ‘The State Of Art’ edition explores the relationship between Hip Hop and fashion, with Scott saying,

"Of course I love having accolades from the fashion world and I’m thrilled with Rihanna and [Lady] Gaga and Katy [Perry] and everyone wearing my clothes.

“But when the real kids are using their money to buy something to express to the world who they are, to say, “This is who I am because I’m wearing this,” that is the ultimate compliment for me
.”

You may also remember that Hype Means Nothing created their own take on the same iconic image of Warhol and Basquiat for a range of T-shirts paying homage to the two artists - sold exclusively through Parisian concept store, Colette, in 2009 (image below).
