USED Magazine #Issue 2

USED is a bi-annual publication which cleverly fuses fashion and art through a rich visual aesthetic and editorial voice, challenging the way readers consume and explore content. The brainchild of the creative agency Useful, featuring fashion contributors such as Pandora Lennard from Tank, Mathew Stevenson-Wright from Wallpaper* and Tui Lin from Arena Homme Plus and POP magazine - each issue is designed as a highly stylised trend-led collectors edition, also known as a coffee table look-good.
Issue 2 continues along the theme of presenting fashion and art through innovative and challenging photo shoots and features -  including an interview with artist Nicola Samori, whose work is dark yet mesmerising, creating classic oil paintings inspired by Italian Baroque; and an exploration into the world of photographer Paul Kooiker, whose voyeuristic collection of images is both unnerving and beautiful at the same time. From an eclectic mix of shoots, I was particularly drawn to 'I Really Need A Solar Eclipse' lensed by Brendan & Brendan, with styling which included a stunning headpiece from Soichi Inagaki and CSM graduate Myrza De Muynck's modern and beaded reinterpreting of the tracksuit, teamed perfectly with a pair of DM's for a pretty grunge look with tinges of an Ashish catwalk about it.
Contributors to Issue 2 include writer and poet Amah-Rose McKnight-Abrams, Fashion Editor David Motta, artist Jens Hesse, and inventor Niklas Roy - all well worth parting with £6 for. Available soon HERE.
