Hibernate With Cleo Ferin Mercury

Cleo Ferin Mercury is a French textiles designer who grew up in the vibrant and multi-cultural area of La Goutte d'or ('Little Africa') in Paris, and is now based in London. Having previously worked for McQueen and Amechi Ihenachow, she went on to design a line of clothing for Brag Boutique in Brick Lane and produced pieces for the Sugababes' music video "Here Comes the Girls". She regularly contributes her illustrations to arts and science magazine, Okido, but it's her own range of quirky and stylish scarves which have become a talking point.

Her latest range, entitled 'The Animal Friendly', features collars designed to accessorise basic tops, each with a cute little 'hibernate with me' slogan, in the design of an Arctic Fox, a Hedgehog, and a Badger; and three varieties of padded animal scarf - the sausage dog, the fox and the cat - so now you can wear animals around your neck that didn't need to be skinned first. The collection also includes hibernating animal handkerchiefs.

I like le chat scarf myself, it adds just a little “je ne sais quoi” to my day. Discover more of Cleo's work HERE.
