Vintage Seekers: The Past & The Future

I recently discovered Vintage Seekers, a website which brings together original 20th century design and covetable collectibles which have stood the test of time. The result is a carefully curated lifestyle collection featuring design, fashion, memorabilia, motoring, watches and even wine - that section caught my attention immediately. Launched in 2010, the VS team
scrupulously source items from reputable international dealers in classic and vintage design across the world. Most items are at least 25 years old and no older than 100 - there's shabby chic, and then there's "shabbier chic". Which is why VS place the emphasis on timeless items which aren't falling apart - but rather just as stylish as they were in the era they were created. Billing itself as the "creme de la creme" of 20th century vintage, VS is like an online treasure trove brimming with history, where you can't help but be drawn into exploring the beautiful and eclectic mix of pieces on offer.
From 1920s Louis Vuitton luggage; dresses by Oscar de la Renta, Ossie Clarke, Dior and Halstoncollectibles like Alfred Hitchcock's "Dial M For Murder" original film poster; autographs of iconic screen legends including James Dean and Jane Fonda as Barbarella, and even a 1960s AMi Continental Vinyl Jukebox - this website will definitely steal your time and attention. VS also features contemporary design and collectibles, under the moniker 'Future Vintage', showcasing items they feel have an enduring appeal - providing a legacy of life and style to future generations. To visit a little piece of the past and the future all at once, head to Vintageseekers.com. I've selected just a few of my favourite pieces below....
