Ground Control To Major TomTom

If I say "a jewellery collection inspired by the 70s", you'll immediately start thinking clichéd mood rings, giant perspex bangles and shell necklaces. But not so if your name is TomTom.
The brand's ‘Future 70s’ range is the slickest and most cosmic collection of pieces you'll find, with a heavy nod towards futuristic architectural design teamed with geometric patterns. The range has just launched in the UK, available through, and features heavy chevron and studded rings, pyramid earrings, quartz pendants, gunmetal necklaces and high-end lapis stones. The stand-out piece for me has to be the 'Future in Retrograde' necklace (below) in antiqued brass, Lapsis Lazuli and Agate. It manages to marry trends from retro, modern urban and futuristic styles all at once. It could also take someone's eye out if you get too close.

It's no surprise that TomTom's designer Elena Coleman Howell was a former architect, applying her modern and graphical design sensibility to each highly stylised statement piece - or that her creations have already won over celebrity followers including Nicki Minaj, Kim Kardashian, Demi Lovato and "The Hills" star Whitney Port.
There's even a ring which transports you light years away, just press the 'Esc' button! (below)
