Evian Unveil Limited Edition Bottle by Courrèges






Evian has collaborated with French fashion house Courrèges to launch a new limited edition bottle. André Courrèges is of course renowned for pioneering nonconventional fashion trends throughout the decades, such as goggle-style sunglasses, all-in-one tights and the introduction of the angular above-the-knee skirt to France in 1964, as part of his 'Space Age' collection. Other radical designs included trouser-suits for women - Yves Saint Laurent later created the classic tuxedo suit for women in 1966. It's important to note that British designer Mary Quant was also credited with introducing a shorter version of Courrèges leg-flashing skirt in the 1960s; a design which was revolutionary to Quant who named the miniskirt after her favourite make of car, the mini cooper!
Courrèges will soon be celebrating its 50th anniversary, and the partnership with Evian was marked with an exclusive launch of the bottle for New York's Fashion Night Outat Jeffrey New York and Colette in Paris. The bottle design captures the fashion houses' vibrant, bold aesthetic and is also visually and eco-minded, printed with organic ink and composed of 100% recyclable packaging.
Since 2008, Evian has partnered with major innovative fashion designers, including Issey MiyakePaul SmithJean Paul Gaultier and Christian Lacroix to produce limited edition bottles. The new design will be available in selected restaurants and hotels from November 2011 and online at shop.evian.us.
