Sass and Bide Launch Eyewear Collection



Sass & Bide are to launch King of Plenty, their first 10-piece eyewear collection for 2011-12, which is all about the fusion of strong lines, fine detailing, modern silhouettes and vintage inspiration.
The ad campaign for the collection keeps it well and truly in the design family, with some of the Sass & Bide team modelling the look book alongside founders Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton. Posing in a mix of statement and other more subtle pieces from the range - styled with some pretty interesting headgear!! - are Pip Edwards (Senior Creative & Accessories Designer), Samantha De Kauw (Marketing Manager), Georgina Rex (Art Director), Clementine Maconachie (Visual Merchandising Manager) and “Mecks” (PR/Marketing Co-ordinator).
The collection incorporates the brands eclectic aesthetics, with various colours and styles to choose from including tortoiseshell and leopard print, hexagonal red frames and round or lasercut trims. The range also features a star embellishment on the tip of every arm - an homage to the design duo's star tattoo, an inking the pair share to symbolise their friendship. 



King of Plenty will launch in Sass and Bide boutiques and concession spaces across Australia from September 1, 2011 (the start of Summer down under), and will launch internationally in 2012.
