Brave Heart

A new young Scottish designer has caught my eye, after seeing her final year collection in June at Heriot-Watt University's School of Textiles and Design Graduate Show.
Isla Scott is most definitely aiming for the high-street market, with a selection of unique designs across different fabrics such as sheer silks with an indigo, sepia and black colour palette. The result is one-off striking creations which are both raw and edgy, but with a highly wearable factor.
Scott herself is hoping to secure work experience placements in both Glasgow and London now she's graduated, in order to further hone her design skills and build confidence in her work in order to take it in the right direction. I'm thinking we'll be seeing her at the London Fashion Week exhibition very soon....
